Ms. Biha Khan is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Habi Green, LLC, an all-encompassing healthcare, turnaround, business strategy, and regulatory consulting company.
Prior to establishing Habi Green, Ms. Khan spent several years consulting within the United States and internationally. Her consulting clients have included healthcare companies, insurance companies, pharmacy benefit managers, state and federal regulatory bodies, Medicare Advantage companies, third party administrators, healthcare law firms, health and wellness entities, and Senators and regulators.
Executive Experience
Ms. Khan has served in the most demanding seats in healthcare leadership. As Chief Operating Officer, she led a federally sponsored insurance company with over 250 employees. As Chief Financial Officer, she grew a startup healthcare company from zero into the billions in revenue, designing health plans, benefit plans, and retiree plans and securing their actuarial approval. As Chief Compliance Officer, she oversaw state and federally regulated healthcare companies, pharmacy benefit managers, retiree plans, EGWPs, Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB) plans, and Part D delegated entities.
In her tenures as Chief Executive Officer for a licensed TPA and MSO, Ms. Khan was responsible for over 500 physicians and, at one point, more than 104,000 Medicare and employer group patient lives, working with the top national healthcare entities including Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, WellCare, CVS, and Aetna.
Regulatory Standing
As a subject matter expert, Ms. Khan has successfully managed corporate strategy and turnaround situations, financial, operational, and compliance related, for state and federal healthcare subcontractors while remaining fully compliant with all regulatory agencies.
Her regulatory expertise has taken her employers and clients through numerous successful corporate audits, actuarial audits, reviews, and negotiations conducted by CMS, NCQA, AAAHC, URAC, AHCA, OPM, CDC, OIG, DOJ, IHS, FDA, and state departments of insurance and health in various states. She is well versed in state, federal, and NAIC reporting requirements.
Given her experience and expertise, federal regulators and regulatory agencies have entrusted Ms. Khan by seeking her guidance and insight to improve federal healthcare regulations. Her work with federal regulators has contributed to the revision of three CMS managed care federal regulations, covering MAPD, Part D, and SNP programs, resulting in millions of dollars of increased revenue for her clients, and she has drafted and outlined appropriations requests to Congress on behalf of clients.
